Imagine you're an only child with one living family member. Now imagine that one living family member passes away of tragic causes. Of course, the grieving process is difficult, but you are promised a wealthy inheritance! A well kept mansion, a new car, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt.

Sacrilegious is an interactive fiction piece that follows the story of Lorelei Catacombs, a young adult woman who inherits her mother's debt and is now obligated to pay it off. Unfortunately, she dropped out of high school her senior year and doesn't have the means to get a job that can help her pay them off.

Well, not a legal job.

Lorelei is guided to the Bureau of Obscure Employment where she is introduced to a plethora of jobs hidden from the general market. These jobs offer hefty paychecks, but alas, they all come with a cost. Illegal, dangerous, usually ends up with someone getting hurt.

But no amount of employment risk can outweigh that of debt evasion.

DISCLAIMER: Sacrilegious is a project intended for 18+ audiences. Sacrilegious will contain topics such as suicide,  sexual content including paraphilias, violence, domestic abuse, explicit surgical procedures, eating disorders, and religious trauma. I will add on warnings when necessary. Sacrilegious is not meant to be a family friendly comedic series. Instead it is an exploration of some of the worst of humanity, the lengths people go to for personal gratification, the underground markets, and the downward spiral of the human psyche portrayed by fictional pretty people.
